I am supporting a secondary school based in Swale, accessible from Maidstone and Medway, to recruit a long term temporary teacher of Music. This is a part time role offering 2 / 3 days a week.

In this job you will get the opportunity to teach a mixed timetable of KS3 and KS4 Music. You will work within a strong performing arts department providing the specialist knowledge in music. You will be offered the opportunity to contribute your expertise to the curriculum planning and anywhere where improvement can be made but also given the support you might need to plan, prepare mark and assess work.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • The ability to teach Music at KS3 and KS4 (GCSE)
  • The ability to stretch and challenge academic students
  • The experience to manage challenging behaviour
  • The knowledge of current and innovative teaching methodologies
