Quality Inspector – Company Overview

Our client is a leading Engineering company who are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to ensure their products meet the highest possible standards.

As Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring all products comply with company and client specifications and quality standards.

Quality Inspector – Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive inspections in accordance with engineering drawings.
  • Use precision instruments such as micrometres, Vernier callipers, dial test indicators, height gauges, and CMMs for accurate measurements.
  • Locate datums on parts and measure dimensions including angles and arcs, using aids like parallel bars, gauge blocks, V-blocks, sine bars, and digital height gauges.
  • Compare castings to assess manufacturing variations.
  • Report quality issues or findings to the Quality Manager, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Work with various departments to ensure adherence to specifications and drawings.

Quality Inspector – Skills & Experience

  • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Positive, proactive attitude.
  • Proficient in computer skills and effective communication.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in creating CMM programs is a plus.
