Are you a Quality Engineer with a background in Aerospace or Defence Manufacturing looking for the opportunity to work for an independent, family-owned manufacturing business that has been involved in the defence and aerospace industries since the 1950s?On offer is the opportunity to join a company specialising in the design, development, and project management of specialised containers and handling equipment. Due to continued growth and new projects, they are looking to hire a Quality Inspector to join their Quality Department in a full-time, office-based position with occasional site visits as required.Your role will include performing dimensional and visual part inspections using gauges and other relevant equipment, controlling the inspection of parts received from suppliers, and verifying First Article Inspection (FAI) data to AS9102 requirements. You will also initiate and investigate non-conforming parts, liaise with suppliers for corrective actions, and perform product release in the ERP system.This role would suit an experienced Quality Inspector with background in Aerospace or Defence Manufacturing, who is looking for a hands-on position within a growing company that offers career progression and professional development.THE ROLE:* Perform dimensional and/or visual part inspections to engineering drawings* Control the inspection of parts from suppliers using manual and digital devices* Investigate non-conforming parts and liaise with suppliers for corrective actions* Verify First Article (FAI) data to AS9102 requirements* Perform product release and acceptance in the company ERP systemTHE PERSON:* Over 3 years of experience in a Quality role* Good understanding of ISO 9001* Background in Aerospace or Defence Manufacturing* Basic knowledge of welding inspectionReference:Key Words: Quality Engineer, ISO 9001:2015, Internal Auditor, First Article Inspection, AS9102, ERP System, Supplier Inspection, Non-Conformance, Defence Industry, Aerospace Industry, Welding Inspection, Dimensional Inspection, Engineering Drawings.
