Your new companySouth East Consortium are a not-for-profit central purchasing body working in the public sector. They create frameworks and dynamic purchasing models for use by their customers.

The Operations Team provides solutions for their customer's procurement and technical needs throughout all stages of their projects, providing services to help them navigate changes in the market and the legislative landscape.

Your new role

  • As Senior Procurement Manager - Strategy you will be responsible for providing advice and expertise on the growth of SEC's procurement strategy to improve products, projects and offer to SEC customers and members and lead on implementation.
  • Delivering procurement expertise and advice through delivering training on behalf of SEC, attending events, conferences etc. Attending external events to provide a presence and obtain information to help shape the growth and future offer in procurement.
  • Designing, implementing and managing alliancing principles for relevant framework products and reporting on activities to senior operations team. Managing procurement pipeline and collaborating with operational team colleagues to aid with resource management.
  • Working to achieve and maintain gold standard accreditation for SEC to demonstrate achieving the best standards. Utilise customer profiling data to feed into the strategic plan, providing intelligence to expand service and offerings.
  • Working with other business functions such as business partnerships to gain market intelligence to help shape and grow the operational offer.
  • Engaging with and managing relationships with relevant external stakeholders such as government agencies, cabinet office, NHPA, CIH etc. and provide procurement advice/expertise to collaborate and innovate our offer and services.What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience of creating and implementing procurement related strategies to help organisational growth.
  • Experience representing an organisation at key events and conferences and interpreting & presenting data and information in professional reports.
  • Experience engaging, creating and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Full knowledge and understanding of public procurement, in particular PCR 2015 and an understanding of the Procurement Act 2023 will be desirable.
  • MCIPS qualification would be desirable, as well as an understanding of the housing sector.What you'll get in return
