Job Role: Commercial Manager/ Quantity Surveyor
Area: Sittingbourne (Hybrid)
Salary: £65k - £75k
My client is looking for a Commercial Manager/ Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. As the Commercial Manager/Quantity Surveyor you will be working on high value and critical projects, building relationships with a range of high-profile clients which service the infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery, as part of a team, of successful commercial infrastructure projects.
- Commercial responsibilities from contract award through to completion and final account.
- Manage the estimating team.
- Managing variations and changes with customers utilising the Early Warning process where needed contractually.
- Leading and managing the commercial team.
- Developing relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful and profitable outcomes reducing business risk.
- Review pricing strategies
- Be part of the tender review process before projects are submitted to clients.
- Understanding full project costs from initial order, variations raised and final account.
- Ultimate responsibility for all sub-contractor management. Ensure all sub-contractors and suppliers have submitted compliant quotations/inquiries/applications within the timescale required and produce all documentation to select and secure services as well as monthly assessments, variations/CE claims and final account agreements through coaching of the Quantity Surveyor.
- Attending when requested handover and progress meetings.
The ideal candidate will be:
- JCT Contracts experience.
- Experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
- Experience of Frameworks.
- Full UK drivers license.
