We are currently looking for a Yard/ Order Picker Operative for our client in Sittingbourne to start asap . The shift will be Mon-Fri (Apply online only). You will be required to check stock & bulk pick orders using handheld scanner for products (accuracy for all these tasks is very important). There will be a lot of manual handling helping with vehicle loading when required some of which will be heavy. There will be a requirement to use / learn to use a forklift (subject to certified training) If you have a valid counter-balance licence this is prefered but not essential. There will be a requirement to place product upto 12M + in height in Hi-Bay Racking. This as well as helping with forklift maintenance checking oil/water levels etc. In this role & you will also be walking upto several miles per day & be expected to help with receipt & location of stock from external suppliers as well stock housekeeping
The shift is:
- Fixed Shift (Apply online only) shift Monday to Friday, paying 11.75 per hour
- After 12 weeks the pay increases to 12.00per hour
(The above rates will change from the start of April 2025 - Awaiting new rates TBC).
The role will start immediately subject to being succesfully chosen by my client and will be long term ongoing work - temp-perm (reviewed weekly)
You must have Safety boots and a Hi Vis vest.
Own transport is preferred due to the location of the site.
