Our client, a leading aerospace engineering firm based in Sittingbourne, are looking to recruit Production Operatives to work in their Foundry to assist in the sand-casting process. Full training will be given so you do not need to have worked in this field before.

Main Duties

  • Sand mold assembly
  • Cleaning and preparing cores for casting
  • Removing the mold pattern
  • Pouring molten metal into the mold cavity (casting)
  • Moving molds following casting to allow cooling
  • Breaking open the mold to remove the metal casting
  • Reporting any issues with production machinery to team leaders

Requirements

  • A Manufacturing/Factory/Production/Construction background.
  • A good level of physical coordination
  • A good work ethic and time keeping skills.
  • You must be physically fit as the role entails a degree of manual handling and long periods of standing.

Shifts - 38 Hours per week

  • Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4pm
  • Friday 7.30am-1.30pm

Benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
