Are you a qualified and enthusiastic English Teacher with a passion for inspiring young minds and helping students reach their full potential? Supply Desk are partnering with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Sittingbourne renowned for its supportive environment and commitment to educational excellence. We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their team from January on a full-time basis, with the opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons for KS3-5, fostering a love for literature and language.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and learning.
- Employ effective classroom management techniques to support a productive learning experience.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual learning paths.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best academic outcomes.
- Collaborate with staff and participate in school events and extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with proven experience teaching English at KS3-5 levels.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- A passion for teaching English and inspiring students of all abilities.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with educational practices.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
