Job Description

The candidate should be motivated and looking for an opportunity to build his / her career within a growing engineering and manufacturing company.

Working with thin gauge materials typically between 0.9mm to 10.0m mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, from engineering drawings

Training will be provided, particularly on our welding robots

Permanent staffing after a standard 3mo probationary period

Responsibilities

Have a positive approach to learning and helping the team and clients solve problems to ensure we meet and exceed our clients requirement

Familiarity with tool and plant in the work centre, including but not limited to: punches, saws, drills, mills, various hand tools, spot welding machines, section roller, tube bender

Experience using CNC machinery and robots would be an advantage

Responsible for QC own work and raising issues with relevant superior

Communicating clearly with superior the status of work

Keeping work area clean and organized

Communicating clearly with Team Leaders.

Flexible to move around workstations where required

Skills & Work Experience

Experience gained within modern sheet metal fabrication environment

Knowledge on how to read engineering drawings

Ability to MIG weld at basic level, which assists with running a welding robot.

High attention to detail and a team player mentality is required
