Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? GSL Education Kent is excited to be hiring an SEN Teaching Assistant for a welcoming and inclusive school in Sittingbourne. This role offers both day-to-day and long-term opportunities and can accommodate part-time or full-time availability.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. By working closely with teachers and SEN specialists, you will contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist in planning and delivering tailored interventions based on individual education plans (IEPs).
- Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that encourages participation and learning.
- Work collaboratively with staff to monitor and support students’ progress and well-being.
- Record achievements and provide constructive feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A valid driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle are preferable.
