Jet Wash Technician / Hygiene Operative

Overall Objective: To maintain a clean and hygienic environment throughout the food processing facility, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Cleaning:Thoroughly clean all food processing equipment, machinery, and production lines using a high-pressure jet washer.
- Surface Cleaning:Clean and sanitize floors, walls, and other surfaces in production areas to prevent contamination.
- Hygiene Checks:Perform routine checks to ensure cleanliness standards are met and report any issues.
- Shift Change Cleaning:Assist with cleaning during production changes and shift finishes.
- Chemical Usage:Properly handle and use cleaning chemicals, following safety procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance:Ensure the jet washer and other cleaning equipment are in good working order and report any issues.
- Documentation:Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and inspections.
- Health and Safety:Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience:Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a food production environment.
- Technical Skills:Ability to operate and maintain jet washers and other cleaning equipment.
- Hygiene Knowledge:Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Physical Abilities:Ability to work standing for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Teamwork:Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Communication:Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
