Do you have a NEBOSH General Certificate?

My client, a leading aerospace engineering subcontractor, are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible person to help support the delivery of a robust HSE culture throughout the business.

As a Health, Safety and Environmental Co-ordinator you will work closely with the operational management team to:

  • Promote a safety-first culture and champion the company's environmental objectives.
  • Ensure the completion and revision of operational risk assessments and method statements.
  • Manage company's compliance with the requirements of COSHH, working at heights, lifting equipment and manual handling
  • Investigate works accidents and provide procedural policy updates as needed.
  • Organise external regulatory checks for specialist activities such as noise, workplace exposure and emissions.
  • Prepare and conduct regular training sessions with employees to ensure they are kept up to date with best practice.
  • Manage company HSE records

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar Health and Safety role and be comfortable training and presenting to groups.  You will also have:

  • A NEBOSH certificate
  • Demonstrable project planning and tracking skills
  • Excellent communication and stake holder management skills
  • A high level of IT literacy as much of the role will involve creating and delivering presentations.

Based in Sittingbourne, the standard hours are 38 per week, Mon-Thur 07.30-16.00 and Fri 07.30-13.30.
