We are looking for a dedicated Site Vetting Unit Officer to work with us
on an exciting new contract at Sizewell C.
As a Site Vetting officer you will fulfil a key role in delivering the
industry assurance requirement to have all staff and contractors
cleared to at least the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)
before they are set to work unescorted on the contract.
You will be responsible for the verification of all security clearance
applications submitted by the site so that a clearance decision can be
made and a BPSS clearance issued which will eventually lead to the
applicant gaining access to the site.
Your Time at Work
Pay £16.89 per hour
Weekly Hours 20 hours per week, with the scope to increase to 40 hours

Key Responsibilities
- Vetting administration and verification responsibilities for the contract.
- Focal point for local vetting enquiries.
- Verification of BPSS vetting casework.
- Interfaces internally with other vetting team members, training, HR and externally with
contractor organisations.
- Ensuring regulatory requirements for vetting on site are complied with by all staff and
contractors.
- Processing of valid clearance applications according to set Service Level Agreements
(SLAs).
- Ensuring only valid clearance applications are submitted to the Client's Central Vetting
Service

Profile
Educational Requirements/Qualifications
- A good standard of education in Maths, English and IT.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in following quality assurance processes and procedures
- Prior experience of working within a busy office environment
- Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of MS Office packages

Specific occupational requirements
- Ability to pass and hold National Security Clearance Vetting
- UK Driving License is essential
