We are looking for an Engineering or Construction graduate with project management experience to join a small team who will be responsible for developing and building an operationally carbon zero cleanroom laundry - a world first - due to be operational in 2027.

This is a £15M greenfield project and the first phase of a multi-phase campus site development, to be delivered over the next 10 to 15 years.

The ideal Capital Project Support Officer will be:

  • Degree educated in engineering / construction / project management or similar subject, or equivalent experience
  • 3 years’+ experience working as a Project Support Officer or in a similar role
  • Experienced in major capital projects of £0.5m+
  • Experience of project management software tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Keenness to learn new skills and grow through experience
  • Able to contribute to project planning and delivery
  • Enjoy engaging with the project team, internal stakeholders and external parties (consultants, contractors, suppliers, agencies).

The Capital Project Support Officer will be responsible for:

  • Bringing a structured and disciplined approach to project management processes and behaviours
  • Contributing to the creation and administration of tools including time plans, cost plans, design records, risk management files, change control and issue registers
  • Working within and supporting the facilitation of virtual teams, helping these groups to successfully deliver project outcomes
  • Playing a key role in communication and stakeholder engagement, including managing project data and preparing clear and concise reports
  • Managing communication processes to ensure efficient, effective and timely communication with project team members, internal stakeholders and external parties (consultants, contractors, suppliers, agencies)
  • Administering project meetings to maximise value
  • Collaborating with key business functions, including H&S and Quality, to understand project requirements and ensure project management processes deliver against them.

This role would suit a graduate who holds further project management qualifications with experience of working on capital projects.

You must have the Right to Work in the UK for 2 years, as we are not able to offer visa sponsorship.
