Having just relocated to a fantastic new purpose built facility the working environment is both vibrant and spacious. This role is part of a bigger plan to strengthen the management team, with the likelihood that the successful candidate will be given the support and encouragement to progress to Director.
The Role
Managing the finance function for a successful SME - working with the CEO and being supported by two assistants
- Managing the accounting function, annual budgeting, and forecasting
- Implementation of financial controls and actively looking to shape the finance function.
- Managing the year end and audit process
- Assess and manage stock levels, working with marketing to clear surplus products
- Managing the month end process - MI and commentary
- Managing and developing a small finance team.
- Financial analysis across the business, particularly identifying areas to increase profitability and improve efficiencies.
- Assisting in a range of projects, all round requiring a hands-on approach and adaptability, including improving the tech and automation within this function
- Responsible for consolidated accounts across 4 trading entities
Experience Required
A strong candidate for the position will be someone with
- Strong interpersonal skills and familiar with an SME / Non corporate environment
- Inclusive of all with a collaborative approach
- Strong finance background, either chartered or qualified by experience.
- Experience of Microsoft Business Central and Power BI would be a distinct advantage
- For this position we are open to someone who will move into the position as a growth role, or an experienced financial controller / head of finance who is looking for a new challenge
