Are you immediately available and looking for a role that has the potential to go temp - perm? As Assistant Accountant you will support the finance team by handling daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and assisting in financial reporting. This role involves working with invoices, bank reconciliations, financial statements, and assisting with audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Transactions: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, identify discrepancies, and report any inconsistencies.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and updating the general ledger.
  • Financial Reporting: Help prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries for management.
  • Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring correct tax and benefit deductions.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax returns, VAT, and other regulatory filings.
  • Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.
  • Expense Management: Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgets.
  • Data Entry & Documentation: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Other Duties: Support senior accountants and finance managers in ad-hoc financial projects.

This opportunity is temporary on going (minimum 6-8 weeks) - with the potential to go permanent. There is flexibility on offer here with the chance to work a 4 or 5 day working week.
