We are working in partnership with a leading national transport and logistics operation specialising in general haulage and providing 3PL logistics solutions. With a strong track record of success and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, we are dedicated to continuously improving our operations and expanding our business.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join the team. This role will be responsible for overseeing new business sales, solution development contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the company.
The Candidate;
- A business development management background within a general haulage and 3PL logistics operation
- Proven track record in sales within the e-commerce, retail, and wholesale spaces, ideally selling to fashion and lifestyle brands is highly desirable
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully acquiring new clients and driving revenue growth.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and advanced sales techniques.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
- Full UK driving license with the flexibility to travel as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities;
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and achieve business objectives.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Generate and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, utilizing proactive outreach methods.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Implement effective sales techniques to optimize productivity and maximize conversion rates.
- Tailor customer proposals using cost calculation methods to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee smooth service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Build strong internal relationships to support the alignment and achievement of sales goals.
- Create and distribute reports to track sales performance and highlight areas for improvement.
- Analyse market data and sales metrics to uncover growth opportunities
