My client, a leading supplier of electrical power solutions, are looking for a dedicated and world-class Sales Representative to join their busy, Skelmersdale-based team! They are hiring on a full-time, permanent basis.

Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting new and existing clients face-to-face to discuss and demonstrate new products. They will be responsible for negotiating sales, aiming to secure the best deal possible whilst providing world-class customer service. Please note, this is a predominantly field-based sales role and will involve travel, so a driving licence is essential (Company car and fuel card provided, travel expenses also paid for).

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Meet face-to-face with new and existing clients, building relationships and working to secure repeat business
  • Practically demonstrating products for clients, explaining the features and benefits with the aim of securing sales
  • Produce quotations to exact client specifications, and where necessary negotiate to achieve the best possible deal for all parties
  • Demonstrate impeccable product knowledge (regular training provided!), offering advice and guidance to clients 
  • Be ongoing point of contact for customers, dealing with any queries and complaints as necessary
  • Working towards regular sales targets, achieving and exceeding these at every opportunity
  • When not on the road, contacting new customers with information on products and offers 

Specification:

  • Previous experience in a similar customer-facing or field sales role is essential, with a demonstratable and proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Previous experience in practically demonstrating and presenting products is essential
  • Previous experience within the electrical power solutions industry is preferred but not essential
  • A highly organised and hard-working individual, with a hunger and natural desire for sales
