Location: Skelmersdale
Salary: 36,000 per annum
Hours: 4 on 4 off - 6pm to 6am

My client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Transport Planner to join our growing team! If you're passionate about transport operations and thrive in a night shift role, this is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic environment.

Transport Planner Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and plan transport schedules for our fleet, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
• Monitor operations, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effectively with drivers and other teams.
• Utilize Pallet Networks (advantageous) and other logistics systems to optimise transport plans.
• Maintain accurate records and reports using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
• Work independently during night shifts, while still having support when needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and health and safety guidelines.

Transport Planner requirements

• Previous planning experience in a transport or logistics environment.
• Knowledge of Pallet Networks (advantageous but not essential).
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and email communication.
• A transport background or relevant logistics experience is highly desirable.
