Key Tasks:
- Maintaining Purchase Ledger
- Maintaining Sales Ledger
- Preparation of month end journals
- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
- Preparation of Quarterly VAT returns
- Maintenance of Bank Accounts and Cashflow within the group.
- Manage credit card payment system.
General Role:
- Responsible for proactively building key relationships and acting as a business partner to several areas across the business, ensuring that there is transparency and a thorough understanding of the cost base.
- Month end routines including commentary, analysis, accruals, prepayments & reconciliation for your areas of responsibility.
- Budget preparation
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Nominal Ledger reconciliations
- Ad hoc project work and analysis as required.
- Communicate effectively both internally at all levels, and externally with customers.
- Willingness to take ownership of problems and follow through to completion.
Knowledge, skills & experience required (Essential):
- Good knowledge of financial skills to cover most of the required tasks.
- Strong Excel skills
- High level of accuracy
- Communicate effectively both internally at all levels, and externally with customers.

- Ability to work as part of team and off their own initiative.
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills
- Positive outlook and highly motivated
Knowledge, skills & experience required (Desirable):
- The candidate should be qualified to AAT or completed level 1 ACCA or CIMA and looking to complete their studies while working.
- The candidate will have more than two-years relevant experience of all areas of finance and be familiar with assisting in preparation of accounts.
