The Company

An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the UK’s leading manufacturers, specialising in the FMCG sector.The company have been established for over 100 years and is therefore extremely well established, supplying a variety of end users. Due to continued growth in their market share they are looking to recruit an engineer to add to the strong engineering team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies. The successful candidate will come from an electrical or mechanical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with either bias (but multi-skilled) and have fast moving manufacturing experience. On a day to day basis, you will.

  • Perform preventive maintenance to all equipment and machineries.
  • Conduct troubleshooting to all electrical systems including machine control panels, pneumatic control panels and distribution boards.
  • Fault finding and repair to all mechanical systems, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC operated machineries.
  • Wiring control panels for motor controls, pneumatic valves control, etc.
  • Electrical installations and fault finding within the building premises.
  • Support maintenance team on all maintenance related tasks.

There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
