Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive support to production processes, aiding in the development, testing, and introduction of new products.

Develop and implement significant improvements in department-wide processes, procedures, and systems.

Enhance the overall reliability and performance of plant personnel, production equipment, and processes.

Conduct feasibility studies for new technical innovations, including testing installations and systems, and analyzing data.

Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and processes.

Ensure the delivery of finished products meets cost, quality, and production schedule requirements.

Implement standard operating procedures across all areas of responsibility.

Prioritize Health and Safety, actively adhering to and promoting guidelines.

Communicate, liaise, and negotiate both internally and externally to develop profitable business and sustainable relationships.

Develop strong relationships with plant management functions and key business stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's, Master's, or Apprenticeship degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.

Significant hands-on experience in both manual and automated assembly manufacturing environments.

Experience with lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma.

Proven track record of process capability and OEE improvement in manual and automated assembly processes.

Experience in project management.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Versatile self-starter capable of working independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with line balancing and practical knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Six Sigma/Lean experience, preferably Green Belt or higher.

Additional project management experience.

Location: Skelmersdale

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, standard working hours
