Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Skelmersdale Competitive Salary + Benefits
Scope:Our client is a globally recognised leader in innovation and manufacturing. To support its operations, they are seeking a skilled MechanicalMaintenance Engineer to join its manufacturing plant in Skelmersdale. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will contribute to the reliability and performance of production equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance plant reliability and optimise production equipment performance.
- Track and report process improvement results.
- Ensure production targets are met by maximising efficiency and minimising defects.
- Provide hands-on production line support in line with company goals.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and equipment breakdown repairs.
- Monitor and control processes using Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Analyse data to diagnose faults and develop improvement plans.
- Maintain high standards for cost, quality, and production schedules.
- Promote and prioritise health and safety awareness.
- Train and mentor staff in a constructive and approachable manner.
- Develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
- Gather and share best practices internally and externally.
About You:
- Apprentice training or qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in mechanical, pneumatic fault finding.
- Knowledge of high-pressure air systems (advantageous).
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow SOPs.
Working Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 7:50 am - 4:45 pm
- Friday: 7:50 am - 12:10 pm
