We are currently seeking several Ad Hoc Quality Inspectors for a well-established automotive client based in Skelmersdale. All shifts will be confirmed at short notice; therefore, flexibility will be essential. This is an ideal opportunity for those seeking extra money. Hours of work will be between Mon-Fri on either approx. 06.00-14:00 or 14.00-23.30 shifts, paying 11.44 p/h. There may be an opportunity to move to full time hours but initially all roles will be offered on ad hoc basis.

As a quality inspector you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet a certain level of quality standards. The primary duty of a quality inspector is to inspect and evaluate products to ensure they meet customer requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting visual inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Testing products or components to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Documenting and reporting any defects or non-conformances found during inspections.
  • Communicating with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Conducting audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of inspections and test results.
  • Assist production teams in reworking and assembly of products where required.

Required skills for the position:
  • Ideally previous experience in quality inspection but it's not essential.
  • Ideally previous experience in automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of quality control methods and techniques.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to carry out manual labour where required.
