Barker Ross Recruitment are currently looking for a Gantry Crane Operator in the Skelmersdale area.

We are seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in materials handling within a warehouse environment. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials safely and efficiently.

You will be working within a Precast facility.

Duties will include:

  • Operate Ganrty cranes to lift and transport materials within the Precast factory.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on crane equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials during shipping and receiving operations.
  • Assist in loading and unloading lorries, ensuring proper handling of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials handled and movements conducted throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery.
  • Engage in continuous training to enhance skills related to crane operation and materials handling.
  • Monitoring crane stability and load weights

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Crane Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or construction environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining focus on safety standards.

Pay & Shift:

  • 14 Per Hour PAYE
  • 8AM-6PM Monday to Friday
  • 50 hours paid per week
  • Temp-Perm
  • Job starting ASAP
