Barker Ross Recruitment are currently looking for a Gantry Crane Operator in the Skelmersdale area.
We are seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in materials handling within a warehouse environment. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials safely and efficiently.
You will be working within a Precast facility.
Duties will include:
- Operate Ganrty cranes to lift and transport materials within the Precast factory.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on crane equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials during shipping and receiving operations.
- Assist in loading and unloading lorries, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of materials handled and movements conducted throughout the shift.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery.
- Engage in continuous training to enhance skills related to crane operation and materials handling.
- Monitoring crane stability and load weights
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Crane Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining focus on safety standards.
Pay & Shift:
- 14 Per Hour PAYE
- 8AM-6PM Monday to Friday
- 50 hours paid per week
- Temp-Perm
- Job starting ASAP
