The primary focus of this position is to coordinate the movement of goods in conjunction with the FLM, ensuring that pickups and deliveries occur within the designated timeframes. This coordination involves the use of transportation management systems to track routes and maintain communication with drivers and delivery personnel. Adhering to all transportation regulations and safety standards is a vital aspect of the role to ensure the well-being of both the transportation process and the personnel involved.

The Candidate;

  • Previous experience within a fast paced transport coordinator position
  • Previous experience of working within a transport office
  • Experience in customer-facing roles or customer service
  • Familiarity with TMS Systems
  • Understanding of Transport Operations
  • Knowledge of Transport Regulations
  • General haulage and pallet network experience is desirable
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Confident on the phone

Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Coordinates movement of goods with the FLM
  • Ensures timely pickups and deliveries
