Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading Engineering company in their search for an experienced Pipefitter Welder to work at their Skelmersdale-based workshop
For the successful Pipefitter Welder, our client is offering:
- Up to £25.00 per hour (CIS) (Depending on Experience)
- Core Hours: 7am-3:30pm Mon to Thu, Friday is 7am-12:00pm
- Overtime paid at enhanced rates
- Ongoing temporary contract
The Role: Pipefitter Welder
- Working in their workshop
- Fabricating a range of different products from start to finish
- Pipe fabrication and welding
- TIG and MIG welding on ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Working from engineering drawings to plan and execute pipefitting tasks for both mechanical and electrical projects.
- Working with stainless steel and carbon steel pipework
- Ensure accurate assembly and installation of pipes, valves, fittings, and related equipment
- Conduct regular quality checks.
- Measure, cut, thread, and weld pipes and tubing to specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of work.
What our client is looking for in a Pipefitter Welder
- City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in Welding and Fabrication BENEFICIAL
- Pipefitting experience - ESSENTIAL
- Pipe fabrication experience ESSENTIAL
- Experience with TIG welding ESSENTIAL
- Ability to interpret complex drawings - ESSENTIAL
- Hygiene Pipe Welding Experience - BENEFICIAL
- Strong knowledge of various pipe materials, fittings, and joining methods.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Coded or previously coded - BENEFICIAL
- Driving Licence and access to a car - ESSENTIAL
- CCNSG Safety Passport - BENEFICAL
