The successful Estimator will be responsible for:
- Preparing detailed, accurate, and competitive cost estimates and tenders across various project types, from enquiry to submission.
- Analysing drawings, specifications, and documentation to produce comprehensive build cost estimates.
- Working closely with in-house design engineers to develop cost-effective and innovative solutions for clients.
- Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Preparing and submitting professional quotations to sales and commercial managers.
- Producing estimating statistics and reports as directed by management.
- Proven experience in estimating, ideally within industries such as modular buildings, bulk materials handling, or structural steelwork.
- A strong understanding of fabrication processes and cost analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- The ability to work collaboratively with design, sales, and commercial teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
- Experience in international trade (advantageous but not essential).
