Our client, a well-regarded civil engineering contractor, is looking to appoint a permanent Sub Agent to support the delivery of one of their flagship substation projects based on the Isle of Skye. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant contribution to a high-profile development.

As the Sub Agent, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of a substation project in Skye. This is a varied position, involving technical, quality, programming, and contractual aspects of project delivery, providing an opportunity to develop into a well-rounded and dynamic Sub Agent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the construction site.
  • Attending pre-start and progress meetings on-site.
  • Preparation of site plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Cost control and scheduling.
  • Ensuring works are on schedule and compliant with safety and environmental standards.
  • Reporting on contractual milestones to the client.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum qualification of HNC in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience working in civil engineering contracting, particularly within the renewable energy sector, is preferred.
  • Experience working on substation projects is desirable.
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts is advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to work away from home (accommodation is available for suitable candidates).
