Manufacturing Project Engineer

18 month contract

Skinningrove - Up to 5% travel within the UK may include other facilities when required

£38.50 via an umbrella company basis or £28.40ph PAYE equivalent to £55k

‎We’re looking for a Manufacturing Project Engineer with a background in Lean Manufacturing and Automation solutions to assist a Global Off Highway Manufacturer in Skinningrove.

About the opportunity;

  • Proactively identify business opportunities for capital investment
  • Full scope Project management; development, budgets, resources and management of NPI or Improvement projects
  • Facilitate the development of manufacturing process solutions using a range of tool e.g. process flows, PFMEA’s, control plans
  • Plan equipment specifications and installation requirements
  • Work with facility teams to establishing the correct suppliers and manage timelines
  • Work cross functionally with multiple stakeholders to drive DFM and best manufacturing practices.

Experience Required;

  • Ideally 6 Sigma project leadership experience.
  • Good understanding of Machining, Product Handling, Heat Treatment and supporting systems, Inspection and product Finishing processes.
  • Experience of leading quality concern resolution with tools such as 8D, 5why, fishbone diagrams and other appropriate quality tools
  • Existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes
  • Knowledge of effective project management strategies
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of ABB Robotics - advantageous.
