With a strong reputation and a diverse client base across multiple industries, they take pride in providing expert financial guidance and support. About the Role:Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to become a key part of their team. In this role, you will work closely with the Directors to oversee workflow management while leading and supporting the wider accountancy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership position in a firm that values expertise, collaboration, and professional growth. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage your own client portfolio or work towards taking ownership of one.
  • Prepare and review financial statements for a diverse range of clients.
  • Prepare financial statements and Corporation Tax returns for limited companies (FRS105 & FRS102A).
  • Handle the preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts.
  • Complete VAT returns and produce management accounts.
  • Provide insights on accounting systems and contribute to ongoing Making Tax Digital (MTD) developments.
  • Support ad-hoc projects, including budgets, forecasts, and MTD integrations.
  • Oversee workflow management and allocate tasks efficiently within the team.
  • Collaborate closely with Directors to support business operations and strategic goals.
  • Mentor, support, and oversee junior accounting staff to encourage professional growth.

 Skills / Experience required for the Senior Accountant:
  • ACCA/ACA qualified
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years Post Qualified practice experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
