Were excited to be working with a well-established business located in Skipton who are looking for an experiencedFinance Assistantto join their friendly and supportive team in this newly created role. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of financial experience, including sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, amoungst other key tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail.

What youll do:

  • Update and maintain the sales ledger, ensuring all details are accurate.
  • Manage credit control by running reports and actively chasing weekly debtors.
  • Conduct credit checks for new customers and communicate effectively with the sales team.
  • Accurately maintain the purchase ledger system, prepare invoices, process payments, and obtain necessary authorisations.
  • Create new profiles for suppliers and maintain existing ones.
  • Reconcile supplier statements, receipts and payments daily, ensuring correct posting.
  • Prepare payroll timesheets and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Manage employee expenses from credit cards and process them onto the system.
  • Raise purchase orders as required.
  • Work alongside the Financial Controller on ad-hoc duties as needed.
