Join a dynamic, design-led architectural practice located in the picturesque village of Gargrave, North Yorkshire. We specialise in a diverse range of residential projects with a strong emphasis on sustainability and quality design. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architectural Technician/Technologist to enhance our team.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the preparation and development of detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with architects and other team members to ensure designs are technically feasible and meet regulatory standards.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather essential information for project development.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Utilise CAD software and other relevant tools to produce accurate and high-quality technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the construction process.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within an architectural practice.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Skilled in writing NBS specifications and technical detailing.
  • Strong understanding of building regulations and British Standards.
  • Knowledge of UK planning legislation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desirable:
  • Professional registration with Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.
  • Living within commuting distance of Gargrave.
  • A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.
