Associate Director level Architect required to join a multi-disciplinary design and planning consultancy who specialise in rural land and property asset development.

Located in their modern contemporary studio overlooking the canal in the delightful market town of Skipton, complete with the additional benefit of super flexible hybrid working, our client has forged a reputation for exceptional design solutions whilst also enhancing and complementing these special rural places and landscapes on behalf of their growing client base.

Due to continued forecast growth and an ambitious business plan, we are seeking a talented and experienced Senior level Architect to undertake the role of Associate Director.

Responsibilities for the Associate Director

Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, by understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional project delivery.

Business Development: Identify and win new business opportunities, collaborate with others, and contribute to the growth of the firm.

Project Leadership: Lead on complex projects and take personal responsibility for project delivery and execution - either directly or working in partnership with others.

Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality design standards and adherence to project timelines.

Team Management: Mentor and guide team members, and where possible foster an environment of professional growth and collaboration.

Projects: Experience of working within Property design with previous experience of working in conservation, sensitive restorations in conservation areas, heritage assets, listed buildings.

Qualifications for the Associate Director

Experience: Ideally a minimum of 15 years of experience as a fully qualified ARB / RIBA registered Architect

Proven track record: Successfully leading projects, experience in the Conservation & Heritage sectors would be highly desirable.

Strong client-side experience: The ability to understand client needs and translate them into exceptional design solutions.

Business acumen: Ability to significantly contribute to company-wide business development efforts.

Excellent design and communication skills: Able to articulate design concepts and lead presentations.

Team player: Collaborative and supportive leadership style with a proven track record of mentoring junior team members.

Requirements for the Associate Director

Proficiency in architectural software (AutoCAD, Sketch-up, In-design preferred)

Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and ability to articulate design strategies across different levels

Drive, energy and passion essential

Remuneration:

Competitive salary based on experience between 55,000 - 60,000 per annum plus the following benefits -

4% pension, wellness allowance, Private Healthcare, Hybrid working, 25 days annual leave plus Xmas shutdown, discretionary annual bonus, birthday off work!
