Field Labourer - Skipton/Yorkshire

Permanent - 39 hours per week plus lots of opportunity to earn overtime

Our client is looking for a Field Labourer to join their large, team-oriented department which supports customers in their homes and commercial buildings.  This is a field-based role, and you will be provided with a van so you must have a valid UK driving licence.  We are looking for multiple people in this area - 3 - so get applying and recommend the role to anyone you know who might be interested.  These roles are based in the Skipton/Leeds/Bradford area with travel to Scotland - you will stay away for this with the opportunity to earn a lot of overtime.  

This role will see you supporting customers in their homes and commercial buildings with their restoration and repair.  Full training will be given for the role which will see you develop great technical skills in the field of restoration and repair.  The company is hugely invested in personal training and career development.  

Role responsibilities will include: 

  • Representing the company in a professional manner in all situations
  • Demonstrating empathy, understanding and listening skills when interacting with customers face to face
  • Carrying out maintenance, removal and repair work in commercial and residential buildings
  • Attending daily toolbox talks to ensure all health and safety concerns are being met, and that the job is progressing as planned
  • Ensure van is equipped, clean and serviced
  • Providing meaningful updates to the customer
  • Request equipment and materials in sufficient time
  • Ensure use of correct documents and ensuring correct billing details and purchase orders are obtained

To be suitable for this role, you will:

  • Hold a valid UK manual driving licence
  • Come from an industrial, cleaning or labouring background, willing to do physical work which can require heavy lifting and cleaning of heavily impacted material
  • Have good manual dexterity
  • Use strong verbal communication skills and good organisation abilities
  • Have the willingness to travel across the region and stay away from home as required
