Main Responsibilities
  • Assist EHS & Facilities manager in rollout of Group Health & Safety Policies and Procedures at site level across all departments including COSHH, Engineering & Process Safety.
  • Manage, maintain and develop site safety procedures and standards
  • Develop & organise EHS documentation and processes in preparation for ISO14001 and ISO45001 certification
  • Carry out regular safety training & maintain matrices across all departments
  • Provide regular performance reports to EHS Manager to determine weekly/monthly progress on the annual safety strategy
  • Work alongside health and safety reps to develop & coach departmental safety on site and enhance site safety culture.
  • Assist in driving environmental improvement activities to reduce the sites environmental impact to air, water and land.
  • Support in day to day H&S & Facilities activities where required.
Ideal Candidate
  • NEBOSH Cert / Diploma or Degree from an OHS Discipline
  • ISO 14001 or 45001 Internal Auditor trained
  • Positive, can do attitude

  • Able to work cross-functionally
  • Experience in carrying out risk assessments
  • Thorough understanding of COSHH Regulations & Best practice
  • Fundamental knowledge of UK H&S Legislation & HSE Regulations
  • Practical experience in an operational environment required

Due to the nature of our business, all successful candidates must complete a basic DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service check) before employment can commence, and at regular intervals during employment. Dechra will pay for this check.
