We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical assembly and will be happy with working away, currently the business is working on contract in Cumbria.
Our client is a leading technical damage management company, specialising in the restoration & repair of electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment following major and complex damage.
***This job will require you to work away Monday to Friday and some weekends, this is crucial to be considedred successful for the role. ***
Responsibilities
- To assemble metal components according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- To stripe down faulty machines.
- Fault finding.
- Utilise sheet metal techniques to create parts and structures as required.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively in the fabrication process.
- Conduct basic maths calculations to ensure precise measurements and cuts.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Pay rate: £16 p/h
- Overtime rate: 24 p/h
- Overnight stay allowance: £27.50 per night, accomodation is covered by the employer
