This is an ongoing temporary position with the possibility of a further extension at the discretion of the business requirements.

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a full time Admin Officer to Join the team at the Magistrates court

based in Bradford! The role will include working as part of a flexible team. You will need to have excellent attention to detail due to the nature of the role.

This post is within the admin team at Skipton County Court. Skipton is a small court so the role includes all areas of civil and family work.

  • Issuing new money claims, enforcement proceedings and family applications.
  • Taking and accounting for court fees, book-keeping and daily balance
  • Dealing with customer queries by phone or email or in person at the court counter
  • Updating electronic court records and manual file with all documents received. Preparing files for court hearings
  • Clerking attended court hearings and hosting remote hearings on Microsoft Team
  • Drawing court orders
  • Filing, photocopying and post (in & out)

The successful candidate will have good communication skills and be confident speaking to the general public, the legal profession and the judiciary. They will have good numerical ability and be familiar with excel spreadsheets and basis accounting. They will have keyboard skills and be able to process documents at a good pace
