We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Town Planner to join a growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of rural planning in North Yorkshire and beyond. You will be involved in a diverse range of projects, from residential and commercial developments to agricultural and heritage projects.

Key Responsibilities:
路Manage and coordinate planning applications, appeals, and related documentation.
路Conduct site appraisals, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
路Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to provide expert planning advice.
路Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations.
路Ensure compliance with relevant planning legislation and policies.
路Contribute to the development of planning strategies and policy documents.
路Represent clients at planning committee meetings and public consultations.



Requirements:
路A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
路Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards chartered status.
路3 plus years in the private sector
路Proven experience in a planning role, preferably within a rural or consultancy setting.
路Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
路Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
路Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
路Proficient in the use of planning software and Microsoft Office applications.
路A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to site locations as required.
