The Maintenance Engineer is a key role, responsible for supporting operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving the reliability of all equipment. To provide essential preventative and reactive multi-skilled maintenance activities for the plant in a fast-paced GMP governed manufacturing environment

Michael Page are proud to be representing a trusted manufacturer in the Skipton area in their search for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

Description

  • Delivery of a Planned maintenance program to ensure reliability of equipment and to improve asset performance.
  • Liaise with production / QA to carry out work orders, ensuring timely completion of work orders giving accurate and valuable detail for asset history following the functional failure.
  • Ensure minimal unscheduled downtime through fast and effective response to breakdowns, monitor the performance of the line post breakdown to ensure it is fully operational.
  • Lead the department Engineering RCA (root cause analysis) to stop any issues from re-occurring.
  • Perform calibration services in accordance with work order instructions, associated procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure cGMP is adhered to and maintained as well as Health & Safety across the site.
  • Continuous improvement of equipment, improving safety, efficiency, change overs and minimising downtime.

Profile

  • Mechanical Engineering trained
  • Proactive approach to work.
  • Familiar with working on production equipment including filling lines, conveyors, packaging lines, autoclaves tablet pressers, granulator, WFI and heat sterilisers etc.
  • Experience of working within a regulated process environment ideally pharmaceutical, food, drinks, FMCG or fine chemical.
  • Possible knowledge of GMP in engineering.
  • Time served in an industry or a level 3 NVQ in an engineering related subject.

Job Offer

Salary - £42.3k

Shift Pattern - Double Days (Monday - Friday, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm)

Every 5 Weeks, you will receive a Friday off.
