My client is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will report into the Group Financial Controller, will oversee and execute financial operations and administrative tasks. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial activities within the company.Duties of Finance Assistant:

  • Maintain complete, accurate and timely Purchase Ledger records to include Coding Invoices, updating Ledger for month end, ensuring correct authorisation across the company
  • Carryout monthly supplier statement reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
  • Prepare regular Supplier Payment runs in accordance with the companies cash management process, as agreed with the Group Financial Controller
  • Maintain Sales Ledger records to include reconciliation of daily takings and investigate any discrepancies
  • Maintain and develop detailed Costs Analysis on specific costs lines in accordance with agreed cost line ownership.
  • Prepare the Payroll payments for EU Locations.
  • Reconciliation of UK Bank Accounts, Store petty cash analysis and postings, cash analysis of stock related invoices
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as specified by the business

Essential:

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office 365, particularly Advanced Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Sage line 50 would be an advantage
  • Must be a confident communicator
