Sheet Metal Worker
Permanent, 16.17 p/h, Skipton
Experienced sheet metal worker required for a successful manufacturer who produce a range of standard and bespoke products in mild steel and sheet metal. The role would suit someone with previous experience of producing high quality fabrications or with a relevant welding, fabrication apprenticeship or qualifications.
As the Sheet Metal worker, you will:
- Read, interpret & work to engineering drawings to produce high quality assemblies
- Fabricate metal enclosures from mild steel
- MIG & TIG welding, using long welds and making watertight
- Work on a range of structural framework
- Work with 1mm-3mm thick stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel
- Operate sheet metal working machinery including punching and folding machines
- Cut metal using saws and guillotines
- Work to a high-quality standard
As the Sheet Metal worker, you will have:
- Strong welding skills using MIG & TIG
- Experience of working with mild & stainless steel in an engineering environment
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Good work ethic and keen to learn new skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Be hard working and conscientious with a can-do attitude
- Ideally hold a relevant sheet metal fabrication apprenticeship or qualifications
- Have previous experience in producing high quality bespoke fabrications
Benefits:
- Monday to Thursday - 7.15 am - 4.15 pm, Friday - 7.15 am to 12.15 pm
