From October a Skipton Primary school is looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a boy in Year 3 with additional needs and working within the Year 1 curriculum.

Day to day for this learning support assistant role:

  • Support child with learning tasks
  • Nurturing and self esteem activities
  • Brain and movement breaks
  • Supporting with behaviour
  • Spotting triggers and implenting behaviour support as required

As a learning support assistant you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean able to think on the spot and being flexible with his timetable. The pupil will need to build a positive relationship with you and you must be able to offer strong behaviour support.
