Opportunity for an Experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer


We are seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is crucial to ensuring the efficiency and reliability of production equipment through planned maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maintain optimum efficiency
  • Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively, minimising downtime
  • Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions
  • Accurately record maintenance work using a Computerised Maintenance System (CMMS)
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors


Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (essential)
  • 17th Edition Certification (required)
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs
  • IT literate with the ability to log maintenance work effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Experience in food manufacturing is desirable but not essential (training provided)
