Position Overview:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance & Refurbishment Project Co-ordinator to join a reputable organisation in the healthcare sector. This private company operates a number of care homes and is committed to providing the highest standards of care for its residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting maintenance and refurbishment activities, ensuring the homes are always compliant, safe, and homely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for all maintenance and refurbishment activities across the care homes.
  • Maintain and update the Maintenance Dashboard daily, ensuring all maintenance issues are recorded and dealt with promptly.
  • Ensure all maintenance checks are completed on time by liaising with in-house teams and external contractors.
  • Co-ordinate and project manage refurbishment projects to ensure timely completion, using Gantt charts to monitor progress.
  • Manage maintenance and refurbishment budgets, keeping costs within allocated limits and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Finance & Commercial Support Manager to ensure that projects represent value for money.
  • Source multiple quotes for major items and manage relationships with contractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including completing internal and external risk assessments.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least two years’ experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in email, Excel, and Word documents.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in negotiating with contractors and suppliers.
  • Project coordination experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
