About the Role:As the Senior Buyer, you will report directly to the Operations Director and have the opportunity to lead a small, dedicated team. You'll manage end-to-end procurement activities, balancing both strategic and operational priorities. This hands-on role requires a proactive Buyer who can roll up their sleeves while also thinking about the big-picture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement procurement strategies to optimise costs, quality, and supply chain efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring value for money.
- Monitor market trends, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, finance, and production teams to align procurement activities with business goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and deliver measurable results.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
- Strong operational and strategic skill sets, with the ability to balance day-to-day tasks with long-term planning.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A hands-on approach, with the ability to lead by example.
