GSL Education are striving to look for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant in the charming town of Sleaford. Being involved in a supportive setting and giving crucial support to kids who need it most is a fulfilling opportunity.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting classroom activities and facilitating student learning. This position involves assisting teachers in delivering effective lessons, providing targeted support to students and contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities of the Level 2 Teaching Assistant:

  • Deliver focused assistance to students, helping them with their academic tasks and ensuring they understand lesson content.
  • Work alongside classroom teachers to plan and execute engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Observe and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and suggesting interventions where necessary.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour, fostering a respectful and orderly environment.
  • Aid in the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with additional needs.

Requirements of the Level 2 Teaching Assistant:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, particularly in supporting children within a school setting.
  • Relevant qualifications, including Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, patient, empathetic and understanding approach to engaging with students, staff and families.
  • A dedication to creating a welcoming and encouraging learning environment.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
