Audit & Accounts Senior Accountant Job Vacancy

We're excited to be working with a well-established and growing firm of accountants in Slough tasked with finding a talented all-rounder accountant who will join their close-knit team and become a respected and valued Audit and Accounts Senior.

The job description includes contributing towards the firms accounting, tax and audit services and offering an enhanced level of client relationships as well as leading a talented and happy team.

You'll have experience in all areas of the role and be excited to make a big difference to a varied portfolio.

Job Purpose

  • Provision of audits from start to finish in office and in the field (some of which are specialist.)
  • Review and preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Preparation of tax returns and assessments for a range of organisational structures.
  • A range of ad hoc assignments.
  • Assist with VAT returns.
  • Oversight of bookkeeping.
  • Manage workflow and ensure client work is completed and delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner.
  • Supervise junior team members offering coaching and mentoring.
  • Liaise with HMRC on client matters.
  • Liaise with clients, attending meetings and helping with queries.
  • Support with general accountancy services and business advice.
  • Work closely with senior team members.
  • Promote and strive for customer service excellence.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.

Job Requirements

  • AAT/ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • Some experience of audit.
  • Good basic knowledge across accountancy services and some experience of working in UK practice.
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Personable and friendly.
