Financial Accountant - Slough (2-3 days on site) - £60,000 to £70,000 + 12% Bonus

As the clients Financial Accountant you'll need to have experience leading a team as you will be looking after two members of the team directly and you will have Accounting & Controls experience as you'll be running the day to day treasury process including weekly cash reporting, looking after the ledgers for the Treasury operations, period end reporting as well as working alongside internal audit, you'll be liaising with the business unit FC's and FP&A team regularly.

This role would suit a first time mover from practice.

A bit more about the day to day in the role....

  • Team leader for the UK Treasury team responsible for the design and implementation of controls and governance of UK & Irish treasury operations and cash centre UK - establishing best practice processes and documentation and sharing continuous improvements with units performing their own cashiering. Supervise, motivate, and coach 2 Treasury roles
  • Management of strategic financing and cash repatriation, including accurate and prompt payments, compliance with lenders' requirements, supporting UK directors, and communication with lenders, International Tax staff, UK directors, and Global Treasury.
  • Responsible for UK & Irish currency & cash forecasting and inter company lending to support efficient cash management.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for the Corporation Tax reporting for Mars UK group and supporting the UK Corporation Tax reporting and payments
  • Control and manage the bank relationships of the UK & Irish legal entities, ensuring banking services are effective for the UK & Irish units, taking into account all new requirements
  • Liaising with Global Treasury to ensure UK units correctly account for the UK Pension Promise and operate the financing of the UK Benefits Promises.
  • Management of the Cash Centre UK's ledgers, which includes integrating into the service finance organisation, balance sheet review & analysis, Period/Quarter/Year end reporting and submissions, tax reporting, and annual planning cycle.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for UK Financial Statements and support the impairment review of subsidiaries.

About you....

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant
  • Strong communication skills

Salary & Benefits....

  • Base salary is £60,000 to £70,000
  • 12% Bonus (Paid out the last 6 years in a row)
