Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their finance team, focusing on managing financial processes.
The role involves responsibilities such as petty cash reconciliation, invoice processing, and managing purchase ledgers.
Candidates should have previous accounts experience, with credit control experience considered advantageous, and a Part Qualified Accountant status or relevant degree.
The position requires strong skills in Sage, financial management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
The salary for this role is competitive, and applicants are expected to have at least two years of relevant experience.

Are you an experienced accounts professional seeking a challenging and rewarding role? Our client is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic finance team, playing a pivotal role in managing financial processes and supporting the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:Petty cash reconciliation and invoice imports.Processing invoices, payments (BACS/Manual/FX), and staff reimbursements.Managing purchase ledgers, aged creditors, and intercompany reconciliations.Supporting month-end and year-end processes, including management accounts and journals.VAT reconciliation, budgeting, and cashflow management.Payroll processing and maintaining Sage databases.Producing KPI reports, financial analysis, and profitability reports.Supervising the purchase ledger assistant and providing holiday/sick cover for key roles.Implementing internal controls and efficiencies, including developing a Finance Manual.Person Specification:

Experience:Previous accounts experience required, with credit control experience being advantageous.Education: Part Qualified Accountant or relevant degree with strong theoretical knowledge.Skills: Confident and competent in Sage and financial management tasks.Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
